This week is a bit more chilled out that previous ones, but it is also a time of prepration! Coming up in the next few weeks, we have some more lessons at the Deanes School, this time with the year 7's looking at Christmas.

Plus Radiate Saturday is next week, which is going to be awesome, a real party with Santa as well, plus im preaching next week, off to college, need to write another essay, prepare stuff for Christmas, write cards, sort out Radiate extra this week, a concert at King John next week, and loads more!

So please pray that I can dedicate a good amount of time to each of these projects, I will inform you more as each thing comes up!

Thanks

Deanes Lessons

Hi Guys

This week we are doing some more year 9 lessons in The Deanes School, these lessons are on stewardship, looking after the environment and each other. Its a great chance to talk to them about the responsiblities that we have as Christians, as well as getting them to think why God would ask us to look after each other.

Over the course of this week, we will be taking six more different classes, for some of those Beth and Dave will be joining me, others they wont!

Please Pray :

In todays lesson, my voice was nearly going, please pray that my cold and sore throat will go.
That the pupils recieve the lesson well.
That at the end of this week I can book some lessons on the idea of Christmas, not long to go!

Thanks Guys

Richard

Fusion Group

Hi Guys

Today we have got Fusion in The Deanes School, Fusion is the name of the Christian Union that we run in Deanes and King John. Both groups are doing fine, but of course we appriecate your prayers. Todays group is mainly year 10 boys although two new pupils have started to come since the Extreme Week.

All have an idea of God, and therefore need encouraging in their walk, today we are looking at what to do if we are feeling low or having doubts.

Please pray:

That Fusion would grow in impact in the school
That the pupils that come feel supported and encouraged
That we can continue to meet.

King John Assembly

Hi Guys

Just to let you know that myself and Dave took an assembly this morning on Football and frienship in King John, so whats all this I hear you cry?

Well for a while now we have been running football on a Tuesday lunchtime every week A, it has been going really well, and is a great chance to simply build up relationships with the kids. Please pray for us as we do this work.

Pray:

- That each time we do it, the weather is nice, so we dont have to cancel
- To find a new location so we can continue through the winter
- For our relationships to be built with the year 7 and 8 pupils
- For this to grow and develop into new things

Thanks

Richard

Radiate

Well last nights Radiate was intresting, personally it was a bit of a struggle for me as its been a busy couple of weeks. but the fact that 14 young people become Christians makes up for any negative things. Last night we had Collective perform and give a message whcih went really well.

Sadly we had to cancel the fireworks due to the wind, but we have moved them to next month as part of our Christmas special, which is on December 9th, if you want to come and help.

Thanks guys, tomorrow morning(MONDAY) we are doing and assembly in King John on friendship and Football, should be good, more about that later

Radiate Saturday is coming ....

Radiate is fast approaching infact we will spend the next two days preparing for it, this month we have Collective lined up, hopefully loads of kids from Deanes will be there for it. They will be performing live on stage, giving a Gospel message and doing a dance workshop.

I have to say I love doing Radiate, its great to see so many young people come along that we know from the schools, it is also great to have a chance to present them with the Gospel, and even better to see them respond our have their way of think challenged.

Please pray for:

- We expect around 140 kids this week, pray that they have a good time and hear the Gospel
- For safety
- For energy, setting up has already begun, then a team will be in tomorrow night between 9 - 11:30pm and then again from Saturday morning
- For Collective
- For the massive fireworks display that it goes well and safely
- For all the stewards and helpers
- For technical stuff
- And for the young people to feel safe, welcome and eccepted!

Thanks Richard <><

First EXTREME has finished

Hi Guys

Just to let you know that our first Exreme night went well, we had 15 young people come along, all manly boys. They have already got a hunger for God, which is awesome. One boy shared how he reads his Bible which he has had since year 7, he has now read up to James!

Another guy cycled around on Sunday afternoon, to find the church, so he knew where he was coming tonight.

Please pray for these 15 people, that we can grow them in Christ and point them towards him!

Also running the same time as us, was EXTREME PLUS, which had 5 people from the previous mission to King John, please pray for them, and Jim who leads that group.

Thanks Richard <><

Prayer for:

The Team heading this up, Richard, Dave and Beth

Ignition

Hi Guys

Just to let you know that after only ten young people turning up at Ignition last week, we were back to our usual 50 odd kids! Sadly last week was Halloween, but this week we were able to carry on telling them about God. Tonight we used an illustation from www.the4points.com to explain to them the 4 steps of the Gospel, which are:

1 - God loves them
2 - We do stuff wrong, and God dont like it
3 - Jesus died for the stuff we do wrong
4 - What are we going to do about it?

Keep praying for the kids at Ignition!

Extreme Youth Alpha

Hi Guys

This Wednesday is our Extreme Launch Party, which starts the follow up from our week in the Deanes School. We have sent out 50 invites to those who wanted to know more from Deanes plus the young people who have responded at previous Radiate Saturday events, so we are hoping for a good turn out, at our launch party we are planning to have some games, karoke have the bouncy castle, as well as having Collective perform

Our Extreme course then runs for 10 weeks, looking at Christianity as well as being fun, we will also be eating food, we hope to build some long lasting relationships with the young people who come along.

Please pray for us, the team heading this new event up are: Richard, Beth and Dave. Also pray that it goes well, and that the young people come along and have their questions answered as well as meeting with God!

Deanes Week

Hi Guys

We have just completed our first ever EXTREME Week in the Deanes School, and it has gone really well. Just like our previous EXTREME Week's we worked with the Christian Girl Band Collective. They where really well recieved, and the Friday night concert went really well, with just over 50 pupils wanting to find out about the Christian Faith
