New Club @ The Deanes

Hi Guys

This week we are starting a new club at The Deanes School, called Radiate extra. We used to run the club a few years ago, but we have manged to start it up again. This time we have a bigger room, and hopefully it will work well

At the club we have some boardgames, ps2's etc and its generally a place for the pupils to chill out and chat, and so we can gain some new relationships as well as advertise the work we do as a church.

Please do pray for it, its this Friday lunchtime and then every week B

New Term, New Ideas, Same God

Hi Guys

First of all its good to be back, as you maybe aware last weekend was Radiate, which was a good start to the New season, 13 young girls responded to the Gospel with about 6 becoming Christians, tomorrow they will be sent a follow up letter, telling them about events here at the Church. Next month at Radiate (10th March) we have LZ7 coming all the way from Manchester they have been before and are amazing with many kids views on Christianity being blown out of the water! please start to pray for that.

We are also on the planning stages for The King John week 2007. After running a week for the past three years in the school, we really want to re look at how we do these weeks, and how we can make more of an impact.

This year we are doing things differently, and so what we have planned is going to be intresting to see if it works or not.

The basic plan is to keep the week in the school the same, but try and offer new things as well as running more events, and tying that in with the work in the Church during the week as well. The biggest change is that we are not having a Friday night concert in the school, but instead having the empasis on the follow up event on Wednesday 2nd May, we hope this means more people will come to the follow up work and stick with it. Aslo this time during the follow up we will be using the 'DEEP' material from the message trust rather than the Youth Alpha

At this Thursdays Church meeting I will do a presentation on the idea, and why we want to change a few things. Please come along and hear how you can pray for this mission.

DEANES FUSION was on today and was again a very good session, we had 13 come along with 3 new girls.

RADIATE SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is on this Saturday and its the first one back for 2007. We hope that many new kids will come along and be impacted by the Gospel and want to know more

KING JOHN FOOTBALL Is on this Tuesday, each tuesday lunchtime Week A me and Dave take some kids and play football with them
