King John Mission - Day Three

Hello guys! One exciting thing was walking into the Church this evening and seeing all the prayers and the creativity that has been developing at the morning prayer meetings, its great to know that this is going on!

Ok so today....... Felt more like day one hundred than day three! But again its been good, with a mixture of re lessons, drama and music. Beth was'nt in today so Dave went with Kat to do drama, which left me on my own to do RE, Which was fine, but just meant there was no room for a breather! something that i'm use to know after three years of this job!

All the lessons have gone, well, and friendships continue to form, which is excellent, anyway straight on with the prayer requests ::

:: For a kid called Peter (Not his real name) and for his group of friends, that they will come to Extreme next Wednesday. (It would be great if they come, they are great fun, and a good group to be there)
:: For continuation of chats with the pupils, as they continue to ask questions
:: For a continued and renewed relationship with the school and staff
:: Tomorrow is a year 10 assembly, then we need to move out of the main hall for an exam, the girls will end up in the canteen to take lessons!
:: Tomorrow we have 3 drama lessons, 3 music lessons, 1 dance, 1 re lesson, and an assembly
:: Also pray for Dan (not real name) that he will commit to coming on Wednesday
:: Also for the pupils that started Extreme last year, Pray they will come back this year to find the answers they are seeking
:: The girls voices and Allys shoulder
:: That we can continue to be 'Role models' and approachable to pupils, and be their friends!

Many thanks

King John Mission - Day Two

Hi Guys, its been a good day today, although tiring, again its been a packed line up, starting off with a year 8 assembly, followed by Music, and Drama lessons, and the first of our RE Lessons

The RE lessons, went really well, with some postive responses from the teachers, to be honest I was most nervous about these lessons out of all of them, after feedback from last year, but they have been both fun and enjoyable to do.

The radio interview went well, I believe its is going to be pod cast on the schools website, its basically abit of a chat with the girls

Lunchtime today was good, me Dave and Beth, spent all lunch in the canteen chatting with a group of girls who we kind of know, we then meet a group of boys, who repsonded to us rather well.

At this stage the week is going well, I have benn quite inspired and hope to share more at the service sunday evening!

Prayer Points::

:: Tomorrows lessons, including 3 drama lessons, 5 music lessons and an RE lesson
:: We have already had some good 'GOD' chats with pupils in the playground and after lessons, please pray that the pupils respond to these conversations
:: For the impact we have on the staff and pupils to be POWERFUL
:: For the pupils to identify us as role models and people to approach and chat too
:: For clear minds, focused on Jesus, as we start to get tired, and struggle with the lessons
:: Allys shoulder is still in pain, and it is needed during assemblies and lessons
:: For all our voices to remain intact and clear
:: For God to open up more chances to chat one on one with pupils

Many Thanks

Richard

King John Mission - DAY ONE

Today has started out as a good start to the day! we started by getting to the school at 7:00am, for soundcheck etc to be ready for a year 7 assembly at 8:30am

This was then followed by a packed line up of lessons, with the team spliting in half to cover them. Myself, Dave and Beth went with Kat to take some drama lessons (intresting) and the rest did music lessons.

All the lessons have gone well, and its intresting to see young people being highlighted to us already on the first day, Please remember a troublesum kid called Bob (Not real name!) and also some other girls that we had lunch with.

During period five I was able to have a quick walk around the school and remember what im doing, it was a great peaceful time, I was able to think back and see where God has brought me, I also had a couple of periods of realisation! the fact of what im doing, suddenly hit me, and realising how important our job is!

Looking ahead quickly I will be speaking at the evening service, and will share more on these things.

Also coming up tonight, Collective are taking the Girls brigade, with a gospel message etc

Points of Prayer

:: GB Tonight and for the girls we invited along
:: For the team as tiredness is present already!
:: For Bob (not real name)
:: For the year 8 assembly tomorrow morning
:: Tomorrows lessons including RE, Drama, Dance and Music
:: The radio interview tomorrow at lunchtime.
:: That God would be revelaed to these pupils this week

Thanks Guys
