This week ............

One of the exciting things this week, is the fact myself and Ian are doing a lesson on drug education in the King John School this is the first time we will have done this atKing John. Over the past couple of years we have done these at Deanes and they have gone really well with the young people really appreciating Ians honesty and the fact he is speaking from experience.

Please pray for us, the lesson is this Tuesday and will then be every other Tuesday untell we have seen all of the year 9's.

Also this week I have a meeting with the new head of RE at King John, so please pray that this goes well and that our relationship with that department goes up a notch!

Extreme Week 2007 @ Deanes

Also coming up is another mission week into the Deanes school, I will be posting more on this soon, but in the mean time please pray for the following
- For timetabel prepration between departments
- For pupils and teachers to start opening their hearts to this
- For us to find the suitable accomdation for the team during the week
- For the right follow up to be planned and in place
- For the week itself, for conversations, chances and the love of God to be experienced
The week itself is 29th October - 2nd November with a massive concert at TCC on Wednesday 7th November 2007

Lessons coming and going

This week I have started a series of lessons on HIV/AIDs in The King John School, the first one was on Tuesday and over the next few weeks I will see all of the year 10 groups. I actually really enjoy taking this lesson, although it is a serious subjec, I try and inform the pupils about it in a funny way. It also gives me a chance to share my faith as a Christian and how we can make postive life style choices.
Also starting soon, Myself and Ian are going to be taking a series of lessons in King John on drug awareness, the best part of the lesson is when Ian shares his testimony about his former life and how he was set free from it. Everytime I have done this lesson with Ian the class is always silent and listening and thinking. Both of these lessons are great chances to educate young people on important life issues as well as taking about a loving God.
I also hope to do both of these lessons in The Deanes school and we have talked about doing them around Christmas time. Please pray for these lessons over the coming weeks

Well its all change this term, last year I was joined by Beth and Dave in some of my schools work, now its just back to me. Meaning its going to be a bit harder practically but im still excited.

Already I have been into the schools four times this week, mainly to meet the new year 7's but also to promote our Radiate event this Saturday, ive also had a very exciting meeting with teh RE department at Deanes in planning our next mission week there with Collective.

Ok some pointers for prayer ......

:: For the new RE teacher at King John that I can meet her soon
:: For the Fusion groups that start next week.

Thank you guys, will post again soon
